About

The Charlton Community Forest plantation of 1500 trees, located 1 km west on the Donald Road (Borung Highway), was planted in 1947 by 700 local Charlton citizens on a cold, wet August day.

After 70 years the plantation has never been harvested and is now the home to a variety of native flora & fauna. There are several interpretive signs detailing local flora & fauna.
